We were in Costa Rica for 3 weeks, at the sloth place for 2 of those weeks. I seriously did not want to leave! I could definitely live there (CR in general, not just the sloth sanctuary!) I loved our whole trip, but especially all those fuzzy little guys. Miss their furry faces.

Holy hell! I don't think I've spent enough time ogling sloth pictures thus far in my life! Cute, cute, cute. This sounds like a fantastic honeymoon experience AND I'm now itching to hop a plane to costa rica and get me some sloth love. How long were you there for?

Oh my gosh - The fact that one of them was named 'Velcro' makes it every cuter! Seriously! Those sloth make me want to melt. What a great (and adorable!!) experience!

Hooray for solving your wheel issues!
Of course, the fact that you picked up another bobbin reminds me that I need to borrow some wood glue and possible time-in-a-vise from my Dad. One of my bobbins fell on the floor and requires some fixing. Don't suppose you know if Shuttleworks carries spare bobbins for Schacht-Reeves wheels, hm? ;)

I'm so sorry to hear about your wheel! I would recommend contacting Majacraft ASAP to see if they can, at very least, make a replacement part. I would think that would be a lot less expensive than having to replace your whole wheel.

ETA: ...and the crack happened because this is Calgary, with notoriously dry weather. Reminds me that I need to check the care & feeding of my own wheel. I brought her up from the basement just to be sure that she wasn't exposed to any extremes of heat/cold :-/

Oh my goodness, I am the Imelda Marcos of handbags. At one point I had 42 and needed a self-administered intervention. (I was happy to donate some to Wear to Start, a charity that helps dress women for interviews.) Now I probably have about 14... I am currently ogling this one from Moop but trying to hold off....

Something I didn't think of until when I was writing that post yesterday was that I could sort the list (it's a spreadsheet, love spreadsheets!) by the ranking column I made. That was eye-opening, and I adjusted a few things after seeing things laid out like that. Although I now have items with numbers like '2.5' and '2.7'. They're more than 3s, but not as important as some of the 2s. :)

I went through a big phase of buying purses... and I still love most of them. I would say that I have more purses than shoes, but since I haven't purchased a new purse in a year or so my shoe collection may be getting closer.

I think that list idea is a great way to really weigh how much you want something!

Hmm. So I always think of soup and stew as the same thing, but stoup is the cutest name for a cross between! I'm intrigued by this book because I am a huge veggie lover and have contemplated (recently) becoming (or trying to become) a pescetarian (sp?). I love fish so I could never give that up, but the point would be to really up the veggies in my diet! I'll have to google this author :-)
